New in Events has returned for its highly anticipated second season. Hosted by the brilliant Shonali Devereaux (pictured), this series is packed with valuable insights for event professionals. In the second episode of latest season of New in Events, a podcast from IBTM World, Goc O’Callaghan speaks about life as a festival organiser and experience consultant and the journey taken to get there. Also featured on the podcast is Claus Raasted, director of the College of Extraordinary Experiences
Designed to inspire and support IBTM’s vibrant community, the podcast offers practical advice and innovative ideas for those working in the events industry. Season two features ten episodes released every two weeks, running through to the summer.
With a fantastic lineup of industry experts and thought leaders, New in Events will cover essential topics such as preventing burnout, creating impactful event narratives, and promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
Each 30-minute episode begins with Devereaux's insightful chat with a key guest, followed by highlights from engaging conversations recorded live at IBTM World in Barcelona last year. The content is thought-provoking and designed to encourage listeners to reflect on their industry and their professional relationships.
